Simple Paradox

a simple paradox,
of my life.
never being,
but always responsible,
for something that is me.
tears of frustration,
flow from my nonexisting form.
a paradox,
that no one knows of.
i exist for them,
i cease to exist,
for them.
i'm a paradox,
in no one's eyes.
yet a paradox,
i am.
simple,
but so complex.
never simple,
for i don't exist.
in a child's eyes,
i'm all that seperates sanity,
from insanity.
can i exist,
if i have no form.
a paradox,
that shouldn't be.
yet,
i hold the waves back,
from a fragile soul,
that can not live,
without my help.
