EXT. SMITH'S GROVE-WARREN COUNTY SANITARIUM -- OCTOBER 10, 1957, NIGHT: A young psychiatrist (Played by Sean Astin) is sitting at his desk reading through the files of a patient named Myers, but the man's hand is covering up the first name.

MAN: (Muttering to himself) He is the most dangerous patient I have ever examined... He has the blackest eyes I have ever seen in my life.... I feel as though I am staring at the fave... or Evil.

(We see a picture of a man in a white mask and dark, black eyes. Scary music crescendos in the background. The man picks up the phone and dials a number.)

MAN: Hello, Terrence?... It's Sam. I need you to come in my office immediately.... It's about... The Myers Family.... Come quick!

(Sam hangs up the phone and imagines what might be next for the Myers family. We see a POV slaughter a young girl in the opening sequence from "Halloween.")

SAM: I need to save this poor family from the forces of evil.....
