Willis and Kerenai
"Willis, where are we going?" Kerenai laughed as Willis led her even farther down the remote mountain trail. It was the 29th of June, the day after Kerenai's birthday and they had gone on a nature hike and picnic to celebrate. After they started walking Kerenai had tripped and her ankle stung. She said that they might as well go back but Willis refused and carried her until her ankle felt better. As soon as she was about to take the better-known trail, he grabbed her by the wrist and started to rundown the path. Normally, if someone did that, Kerenai would have been scared but instead she was curious and decided to play along since she'd been with Willis since they met at Melissa and Yamato's wedding a year ago. "Willis, where are we going?!" she shouted again, still laughing. "You'll see!" he shouted back playfully. They kept running for at least another 15 minutes, fortunately, both were in good health and fit in their 21 years of age. They were still running and laughing when they came upon a deserted area of a beach. "Willis where are we?" she asked, a little bit in shock. "I have no idea." He said before kissing her sweetly on the cheek. "Shall we have our picnic here?" he asked amiably. "Sure." She said while returning his kiss on the cheek. As they set up their picnic they continued their game of kiss and return while the sun was slowly sinking in the sky. After they finished eating it was nearly twilight. "Let's go for a walk." Said Willis. "Alright." Said Kerenai. While they were walking hand-in-hand, twilight passed and a full moon rose in it's background of dark blue and shining stars. They were walking and stargazing when all of a sudden Willis turned to Kerenai. "What? What is---". She never got to finish her sentence because Willis was giving her the most passionate, loving kiss she'd ever gotten in her life. "What was that for?" she gasped, a little out of breath. "I love you Kerenai." He said with a look in his eye she didn't recognize. As soon as he said he loved her she thought of the first time they met, their first date, their first kiss, and all the amazing things that had happened to her since the first time they met. "I love you too Willis." She said. As soon as she said that, his entire face lit up. He drew her closer and said," I love you." Then he kissed her forehead. "I think I've been in love with you since the first time we met." He said before kissing her again on the tip of her nose. "Kerenai I want to love you forever." After he said that he picked her up, then kissed her again, so deeply she almost lost herself in it. He stopped and put her down before bending on one knee. "Kerenai, I want to be with you forever." As he was saying this, he pulled out a little box from his pocket. "Kerenai?" He asked after seeing the look of love and exasperation on her face. "Yes Willis." She said in a loving tone. "Will you marry me?" he asked, truly in love with her. "Yes, of course I will!!" she said while crying and laughing at the same time. Then, she fell to her knees as he slipped the beautiful silver and sapphire engagement band on her finger and kissed him more deeply, and with more passion than she ever thought she possessed and he returned her kiss with all his love to his future bride.
