I mean really, what was it she expected? Was he supposed to give up his integrity as an editor just because she was his girlfriend. No, he was still her boss. It didn't matter what happened outside the office,while they were at work, he wasn't her boyfriend, he was her editor.
Hmm, he really should be telling Ellie all this, but she might claim she did research again, and he'd have to laugh. Then they'd get into a fight and he wouldn't get any for two weeks. No, it was better to just keep quiet. Let her do her research.
