The World Series of Poker
One day Phil Ivey was at the final table of the World Series of Poker. There were eight other guys who all wanted to win real bad but Phil Ivey was the best and he thought "I will win I have to win" and thought about how he would win the bracelet. In the morning when it was time to play he got up and ate some cereal. Then he brushed his teeth. He left the hotel and walked into the Casino and then went to the final table.
At the final table he looked across and saw that Peter Eastgate was there. Peter Eastgate said "Hello Phil" and the other seven players came and then sat down too. The guy who was the announcer said to the table "SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL" and so they began. When the first hand was dealt Phil Ivey looked down and saw that he had pocket kings. The blinds were at 100,000/200,000 and he only had two million chips so he thought "I have to double up. And soon" so he said all in. Everyone folded up until Peter Eastgate. Peter Eastgate thought about it for a minute and then said "I call" and he turned over pocket aces. Phil Ivey was so mad! The flop came and the cards were queen three and five all of clubs. Phil Ivey had a king of club but Peter Eastgate didnt have any clubs. Then another club came! Phil Ivey was so excited he got up and jumped!
After about a few hands, there were five people left. Joe Hachem looked at his cards and saw that he had pocket tens so he said "I'm all in" Phil Ivey had pocket aces so he called and Joe Hachem lost. Then once there were four people left something bad happened. Something real bad. Greg Raymer came from the audience and said "PHIL IVEY I KNOW THAT YOUR CHEATING YOU CHEATED AGAINST ME AND I CAN PROVE IT" very loudly. All of a sudden the crowd gasped and Phil Ivey was really shocked. He knew he didn't cheat but Greg Raymer then said he did.
Greg Raymer said "I have video evidence that you cheated and so if you don't let me have your seat at the final table I will show it now in front of the world!" he said. Then Phil Ivey looked at Greg Raymer and saw that his right ear was wiggling and then he realized "HES BLUFFING" and so Phil Ivey looked at him and said "I call" and then Greg Raymer realized he knew that he was bluffing so he just went home.
Then there were two left. It was Peter Eastgate and Phil Ivey. Phil Ivey looked at his cards and saw that he had Ace-Queen. So then he went all in. Peter Eastgate called. He didnt show his cards he just stood there and looked at Phil Ivey. Phil Ivey said "What are your cards?" and Peter Eastgate said "Ace King" and then he showed an ace and a king. Phil Ivey fell to his knees and prayed to God to win the hand. "ONE TIME!!!" Phil Ivey said really loud. The cards came and three queens came on the flop! Phil Ivey was happy now he had finally the greatest tournament in the world.
Peter Eastgate said "Good hand. We will play again next year you are good player." and so they lived happily every after because even Peter Eastgate got $5,000,000 for second even though Phil Ivey got $8,000,000 for first.
