Draco had heard stories of the 'Boy who Lived' since he was born and now he was finally going to meet him. Draco could barely contain his excitement. He grabbed Crabbe and Goyle by the hand and skipped merrily down the corridor till he came to the carriage that had been of such great discussion further down the train. Draco stopped to attempt to compose himself. He smoothed down his robes, slicked back his hair and…why was no-one opening the door for him? Draco spun around to glare at his so called 'friends' who instantly fell over themselves to aid his entrance.
There was no doubt as to which of the two boys was Harry Potter. One was tall with blindingly red hair and freckles, decked out in robes that could only have been passed down several generations. He must be one of the Weasleys that his father had warned him about. Draco quickly turned to the other boy and drew his breath in sharply. Merlin's Beard! It was the boy from Madame Malkins'! How could he have not recognised him before? His jet black hair and dazzling green eyes matched the description in Teen Witch Weekly's celebrity column perfectly. Draco was instantly star struck, but he had to compose himself. What would his father say if he couldn't exchange a perfectly normal conversation with the Harry Potter?
"Is it true?" Draco cursed himself. Of course it was true, he could see the scar from there! He could surely come up with something better than that. "They're…they're saying all down the train that Harry Potter's in this compartment. So it's you, is it?" Draco restrained himself from jumping up and down.
"Yes." Said Harry. Lord, his voice was comparable only to unicorn's blood: Glossy, unique and he was sure it must have power to make one invincible. Harry's attention seemed to be drawn away from him. Draco panicked. Why wasn't Harry looking at him with those beautifully framed eyes? Maybe he should introduce himself? Yes, yes that was a good plan. But wait, he must remember his manners, after all, Harry's attention seemed fixed on Draco's sidekicks, so perhaps he should introduce them first to make him appear more modest?
