Hi everyone. I have a partial chapter written at this point, but I wanted to see how everyone responded to it before I posted it.

Prologue
The wind was blowing hard enough to blow my hood off. I lifted it back onto my head before I heard it; the snap of the twigs behind me. I held my breath and took the next step forward, SNAP, I heard again. It was dark out as the trees made the familiar creeks and groans somewhat similar to my normal nightly routine. This time I knew that they were behind me, although the only thing I could see beyond the shadows in the forest was my recognizable cloak. The fiery hue made me noticeable for hunters, but unfortunately tonight it was giving my position away.
I could feel the individual gaining on me; ready to pounce. They were stalking me as their prey, following me for fun and enjoyment rather than choice. I could feel the darkness and shadows claim their face, but the memories are still too fresh for me to forget. Even as I quickened my step, they were always ahead of me.
I started to panic. I could feel my blood rushing through my veins. I could hear my heartbeat outside of the chest, without a doubt so could they on this quiet October night.
I could see it in the distance; my final destination. Unfortunately, I never made it there.
