The Future of Technology

By John Titor

Accordingly, I have travelled to 2 time frames in my research, 365 years apart. The first time I travelled to was the year 2377, in November 30th (182 years and 6 months after my time). The future was magnificent, as technology had made a great leap between my time and then.

The 22nd Century

In the year 2170, I was born into an Eastern Island Nation, of which I shall not mention its name, as not to disturb the space/time equilibrium. War had taken over much of the continent in a struggle for the only energy producing resource at this time – not oil anymore, as it had run out 65 years before – called Ragnarite.

The Ragnarite Wars

Ragnarite is a strange rock. Its constitution is soft and wet, and if you squeeze it, it feels as if it was filled with water. It is an aqua color and glowed in dark places. However, if light shines onto it, it hardens and stops glowing. Even if you return it to a dark place, it won't return to its former state of the glowing, soft rock. The glowing of this mineral is what produces our energy, so whenever light shines onto some Ragnarite, the energy source is destroyed.

The first time Ragnarite was discovered was in 2100, in an Eastern Nation, around the area of China. It was revealed that the Ragnarite only grows in naturally formed caves, many thousands of meters below the earth's surface, and only under deserts. Other nations started a war with the Eastern Nation for the Ragnarite, as oil had almost completely run out. The other nations also started digging under deserts, searching for the Ragnarite. The next place that Ragnarite was found was in the area of the Middle Eastern Nation. The Far Western Nation had caused most of the desert area of the continent – previously know as America – to become a man made sea, so most of what would have been their Ragnarite was destroyed under it. They were quick to start war with the Middle Eastern and Eastern Nations, with whatever little Ragnarite and oil they had.

The Eastern Island Nation that I was born into – previously known as Australia – had no problem with energy problems, as the continent was predominantly a big desert.
