The Noah Curse
Chapter 1 - Escape
It has been three days since Allen Walker was imprisoned in his room. He is lying on his bed and looking directly at the ceiling. His skin is changing from his normal peachy tone to Noah gray. Cross marks were appearing on his forehead as well. He is not happy of what he's turning into. He doesn't even bother coming out of his room, because he doesn't want anyone to see him like this and he worries that he would lose control. That was the reason why he locked himself in his dorm. A few minutes later, he hears someone knocking on his door.
"Allen?" calls a female voice behind the door.
"Are you alright?" calls another voice, which belongs to a man. "We brought you food."
Allen is a little paranoid to let anyone in his room. He looks at the door and says, "I'm not hungry, Lavi."
The man on the other side opens the door and walk in along with the female with short dark green hair, wearing an exorcist uniform. The man, who is also wearing a uniform, has red hair, which is held high by his headband, and he has an eye-patch on his right eye. They are Allen's best friends Lavi and Lenalee. The redhead looks at Allen with a puzzle look and asks, "Are you sure you're not hungry?"
He takes a good glance at the white haired exorcist and sees that he is changing into a Noah and then he turns back to normal.
"Noah!" Lavi cried. He grabs a handful of Allen's shirt and yells, "Tell me, Noah scum, what happened to the real Allen Walker?!"
He holds his deactivated Anti-Akuma hammer in his other hand ready to activate it, but Lenalee grabs onto his arm, preventing him to use it.
"Lavi," she starts in a gentle voice, "Allen told me that he was turning into a Noah. I don't like it either, but he is our friend so please don't harm him."
He let go of his white haired friend and lower his weapon. Lenalee walk up to Allen and place a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Its okay, Allen, we're here for you." She says gently.
Allen smiles at her, but then he starts to struggle. He clutches his head with both hands, squirming on his bed then he starts to flail violently.
"Go away! Leave me alone!" he screams as he continues to struggle. His skin keeps changing back and forth from normal to gray. Lenalee tries to calm him down but she couldn't get through to him. She places both her hands on Allen's shoulders, trying to keep him in place.
"Allen, snap out of it!" she yells as she slaps him across the face.
Allen finally stops struggling and calms down. He looks at both his friends apologetically and concern.
"Lenalee, Lavi, I'm sorry that I worry you," he say calmly, "I need some time to be alone."
Lenalee and Lavi stare at each other with a puzzle expression then they look back at Allen.
But Allen, what about your condition?" asks Lavi
"That's the problem. I could be risking your lives the next time that happen."
"But we want to help you."
"You can help by leaving my room."
"But Allen-"
"JUST GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" Allen screams in frustration.
He stares at his friends blankly then he calmly says, "I don't want to harm any of you. I just want everyone to be safe."
"Allen…" Lavi takes a step towards him but Lenalee place one hand on his shoulder and shake her head. They stare at their white haired friend for a bit with concern, and then they leave the room, closing the door behind them. Allen stares at his door when his friends leave. He worries about them, too. He lies back on his bed and stares back at the ceiling.
As Lenalee and Lavi get out of Allen's room they bump into Kanda, who is grumpy as usual. He stares at the two of them sternly and asks, "What were you two doing in Bean Sprout's room?"
"IT'S ALLEN, BAKANDA!" they hear Allen yelling in his room. Kanda chooses to ignore that outburst.
"We were just bringing him food and checking up on him." Lavi says with a smile.
"We were worried about him. We just wanted to help him." Lenalee replies.
Kanda looks at Allen's door and notes, "That kid has been nothing but trouble!" He then faces Lavi and Lenalee. "Once he transforms into his Noah state, he will betray us and doom the Order."
"Allen would never do something like that!" Lenalee snaps.
"Don't be ridiculous, he would lose control of himself and he will fully transform into a Noah. The Bean Sprout you once knew and love will no longer exist."
"I TOLD YOU A THOUSAND TIMES MY NAME'S ALLEN!" Allen yells, who is still in his room.
"We won't let that happen." Lavi utters.
"There has to be a way to prevent that." says Lenalee.
"Che, good luck!" Kanda replies as he starts to walk away. He stops halfway down the hall and says, "But if he fully transforms into a Noah… I will end him."
Allen heard what Kanda said on the other side of the door, about what he was going to do with him if the Noah inside of him took over completely. He was nervous about that last line Kanda had used, saying that he was going to "end him." Although, Allen was not really surprised to hear the blue haired man say that. He knew he hated him and of course, a Noah is an enemy to the Black Order. Kanda is not the man, who shows mercy. Allen notices that is very tired, so he closes his eyes and went to sleep.
In Allen's dream, he was being persuaded by the 14th. There is no where else run, so he has no other choice but to fight. He activates Crown Clown and then he grabs his left arm to pull out his huge black and white board sword. He charges at the 14th, but the Noah dodges the attack. He hits the silver headed exorcist from behind, causing Allen crash to the ground. He then looks up to glare at Neah.
"Your time has come puppet. Let me take over." He says.
"No!" Allen yells as he shake his head, "I will never let you take over!"
"I'm sorry, my dear nephew, but you give me no other choice."
"I am never going to let a Noah like you take over me!"
"You will and you'll like it." Neah says in a sadistic voice.
"NOOOOO!"
Allen wakes up from his dream, shaking and breathing hard. He calms down after a short moment with nothing to fear, except the fact that the 14th might take over his body. Being in the Black Order doesn't help his paranoia, because if he stays here, he would hurt the people he cares about if Neah takes control. Since he doesn't want to cause harm to anyone, he decides to leave the Black Order for he own good. He whispers to his golem, Timcanpy, to come with him. The golden golem flies to his side as Allen begins to walk to his window. He quietly opens is up, so he will be able to jump out. After he does that, he climbs down carefully on the wall until he reaches the ground. After all of that is over, he walks quietly through the night, without getting detected.
Triforce: Hope you guys like the first chapter of "The Noah Curse".
Allen: Um, am I actually going to transform?
Triforce: I can't tell you that now.
Allen: Well I like the chapter.
Triforce: Why thank you. I am glad that you like it. Can you ask the readers to review?
Allen: (To Readers) Review please!
Triforce: by the way, I am not Katsura Hoshino, so I don't own D. Gray-Man. This chapter has been re-edited, because I had spotted many mistakes, like tense. I also added a few things in there too, and I had also redone some of the sentences to make them sound better. (Or at least in my opinion) If there is anything else, that needs to be fixed, send me a PM to let me know. (It helps me a lot more if you show me "specific" area, which need to be fixed. Always make sure that your reviews are positive or constructive. Also leave a fav and follow as well.
