Disclaimer
For each generation of the two families there was born a hero and demon king. This goes back centuries, where people weren't as educated as today and still believed in witchcraft, gods, and so on. It was said when the king and hero meet there a battle was to reign, and the winner will have to chose whether this practice was to continue or not. Of course people, as stupid as they were back then continued.
Enter Naruto, with both parents dead he was born into the family of the Demon king. You might be thinking that he would rebel with all he had, declaring that a person shouldn't be labeled evil when birthed. Well he did at first… but that was until his grandfather had gotten him into gang movies, Road to Perdition, Donnie Brasco, and The Godfather being his favorites. "It's never too late to embrace your inner demon", he told Naruto this constantly. And at the tender age of 8 Naruto had made his decision to become king and defeat this so called "hero".
Hero -whose identity I'm not going to mention- thought this whole thing was a waste of time. Who in their sane mind would waste their time fighting neck and bone just to come out saying 'I have won, and am going to continue so that the young children of the future may look forward to this painful experience'. And the thing is his parents had actually wanted him to partake in this. Sometimes he wondered if he was the only in his family who hadn't inherited a mental problem.
Now at the age of 9 Hero had decided that when he was old enough he would live exactly 5,862 feet away from his generation, not to close that he actually had to see them on a daily basis, and not to far for them to decide to move closer to him.
"When will you decide to embrace your role as Hero?'', his father had asked him one day.
"I've told you time and time again I. will. Not. Do. It. It's pointless."
"Is it pointless to carry on the Uchiha name, to defeat the demon king and be crowned a savior to this family?''
Hero supposed risking his life in this so called praised match is what his father always wanted. Heh, he always knew his dad wanted him dead, always knew he favored his older brother more than him. Probably won't even pay the hospital bill if Hero ever did win the match, just to save a few extra bills even though they swim in money.
If his father wanted to carry the Uchiha name why not ask his eldest son?
"Because, unfortunately", his father answered "you were born with the title and it cannot be changed."
That was the day Sas- er I mean Hero decide to leave and live on his own. He had a pretty decent job, it paid well without him even leaving the comfort of his home. But there was one thing he was worried about though. Once he became the age of 24 he would have to find the Demon king and "defeat" him. To say he wasn't looking forward to it would be the understatement of the millennium.
Hero could only hope that he and the king shared the same level of thinking.
