"Kaitou, I would like so much to introduce your hair to useful invention called comb,"

Kaito looked groggily up from his desk. "Shu' up Aoko. 'M sleepy…" he said, and promptly fell back down to his desk.

Aoko sighed. Her friend was noticeably tired again, like it has been for several months. She would like to ask what caused his strange behavior but decided against it. If he didn't want to talk about it, then it would be better not to push him.

Aoko took a blue fountain pen from her bag and proceeded to poke him in the shoulder. "Hey, you alive?" She only heard as a response a sound which sounded like snoring. He did not do as much budge from his slumber.

She sighed and sat in a desk near his. Her hands reached out to retrieve the pen she left in Kaito's desk early, in the process, brushing lightly against his hair.

It felt soft. She looked at his hair, entranced. Even in its disheveled state, it looked so soft! Her hands ached to touch it and see if it really is as soft as the time she first touched it.

It was early in the morning, so they were the first ones inside the classroom. Gulping nervously, she turned sideward until she was facing her and her hand was nearly touching his head.

She checked to make sure he was fast asleep by poking his arm with her index finger. She sighed in relief. Thank God that Kaito slept like the dead when he was tired. Hesistantly, she placed her hand on the top of his head.

She sighed when she felt the strands of his dark hair slip through her white fingers. It was silky, just as she thought it was. She wished they could stay like that, even just for now.

In his sleep, Kaito smiled.
