A Flower speaks for itself-
Arthur Kirkland grumbled to himself as he stomped down the halls of the school. The sound of his shoes slapping against the floor was the only thing he could hear as the halls were deserted. The reason for that was because classes were in session and a certain girl was not in said classes.
Thus it was left up to him, as her roommate; to actually go and find her which was not exactly something he wanted to do. He should be back in class, making sure the other pricks weren't causing trouble.
Oh and in case you're wondering, yes they are causing trouble :D.
Arriving at the entrance of the school, he shrugged and stepped out into the cold weather, shivering slightly. Laura, said girl he was looking for, was nowhere to be seen the school, unless she was a really good hider.
So he decided to search outside the school, perhaps he could find her out here. The first place he checked was near the garden area where the garden club's prized flowers stood out, glistening in the sun that peeked from the clouds. From what he knew, girls liked flowers so perhaps she was around here. However looking around the place, Arthur had to cross this area out. She wasn't there.
The next area he checked was the pond; however he did not see any boats out on the water.
The last place he checked was the nearby forest which he doubted she would be there. I mean ,who would go into that creepy place?
However he was proven wrong when he happened to the girl huddled up near the tree. He stared at her for a few moments, getting over his shock and just taking in the scene before casually approaching her.
"Laura...you should be in class."
"Go away," she mumbled, ignoring his hand that he offered.
Twitching his large eyebrows, he tried again to get her to follow him. "Laura, come on...now!"
She finally raised her head making him widen her eyes. Traces of tears were on her face as she smirked at him, "wow, forceful are we?"
"Laura...what's wrong?"
She sighed, wiping away the tear marks before pouting. "Today is my birthday and nobody remembered! My parents only sent a card saying happy birthday but that's because this boarding school won't let them sent packages for some strange reason!"
He wasn't going to tell her that it was because Ivan's strange sister sent very unmentionable stuff and thus the teachers were now checking all post for safety.
Seeing that she wasn't going to move anytime soon, Arthur tried to think of something that would make her happy. It then hit him.
"Stay here," he said, getting an eye roll as an answer.
"Wasn't planning to go anywhere else."
Arthur quickly walked off, heading towards the garden before quickly scanning the flowers. His eyes finally settled on one and a small smile curled onto his face. He picked it before rushing back to Laura, who was twiddling her thumbs.
He coughed awkwardly, grabbed her attention before thrusting the flower towards her, looking away as a small blush coated his cheeks
"Here, happy birthday."
Laura, knowing that he couldn't see, allowed a small smile on her face as she gazed at the flower. It was small and had delicate white petals on it. It seemed he had grabbed a lot of them.
"An achillea huh, at least it wasn't a rose."
A/N: I hope you had a great birthday!
