Pansy scowled and fidgeted under the table. 'What have I gotten myself into?'

She couldn't believe that she accepted the challenge. Was she pissed at the time? No, she was completely sober. Merlin, it was just a few hours ago. Or even, a couple of minutes ago, as it seems. She was surrounded, he knew that too. She felt everyone staring at them, but they had pretended not to.

Then again, when she looked back, it did seem like a wonderful idea. He was running into the Hall, his hair was as messy as ever, and because of the rain outside, his robes clung to his body. Although he was quiet skinny for a boy—no, man—of his age, fighting off the Dark Lord and his followers have done his figure some justice.

And his eyes, don't get her started: it seemed to be a dull shade of green, but underneath it all, she could sense the mystery and mischief in those eyes, and right now, concentration. She smiled a bit as she thought of this.

Then she finally smiled for a real reason. She knew what she was about to do, she would make her move.

"Queen to E5." A white queen chess piece moved diagonally, got off her throne and knocked the pawn out which was defending the black king.

"Checkmate." She stood up with a smug grin. "Now, Potter, about that bet of yours: You're my personal slave for how long?"
