One day in Shikon No Tama High School, two teenagers about 16 years old started fighting. They were fighting about Inuyasha Taisho, a half-demon or hanyou, and his girlfriend Kikyou Mahami , the school's most oh-so popular, self-centered, lowly excuse for a human's, relationship. The hanyou's best friend since Jr. High, Kia Tsurusagi, a human miko or priestess, argued about how Kikyou was treating Inuyasha and her. While Inuyasha was arguing about how paranoid Kia was and how Kikyou wasn't doing anything wrong. After about 30 minutes of arguing, everything suddenly fell silent.
Kia got up and announced that she was leaving. Without another word to the hanyou, she silently walked out the door, heading to her home. After awhile she arrived at the Tsurusagi Shrine. She opened the door, only to be greeted by her mother, Aiko, and her 8 year old brother Okuro. Kia greeted them back with a polite hello in return, as she walked to her room.
Kia tossed her stuff down on the carpet, a short while later collapsing on the bed. Kia murmured to herself, "Stupid Inuyasha, are you so blind as to think that Kikyou actually cares about you more than I do? If you indeed do, then you are truly a fool." She sighs, "Why can't you understand how I feel? Sometimes I feel like I live in a sea of loneliness, like I can be around thousands of people and still feel all alone. I want you to know that, but I can't stand to see your reaction."
She turned to the other side of the bed. Kia picked up her poems journal, a journal where she writes poems/stories when she's sad or angry. She flipped to a blank page and started writing with her amazing gift. She writes:
Why Can't You See?

How I truly feel,
It's like I'm stuck in an endless sea.
Why don't you know?
That this was so,
Why did you stoop so low?
Why don't you look?
At the things that you took.
Why don't you read?
That I never receive.
All you did was deceive.
Why don't you see?
What you did to me?
Why don't you see me?
Kia put the journal down on the floor, beaming at her work. Her expression then changes to that of a sad one. She sighs, 'If only I could say what feeling this poem expresses to Inuyasha, maybe I wouldn't be so miserable.' She thought.
The next day, Kia arrived at Shikon No Tama High School. She walked to the door and immediately saw Inuyasha …
