Me: This was written along with The Encounter for my college creative writing class. They are both prose poems and both poems are going to be workshopped by everyone in my class. I figured submitting them on fanfiction would get me some useful feedback too.

Gentle Idealist

All eyes were on him.

They were waiting for him to speak up.

But what would he say? The young man did not

even have the slightest clue where to begin

or what he could do.

A soft breeze blew through his spiky hair

and warmth began to radiate from the

Exsphere on his hand. It was calming him

in his difficult situation. It was as if it was banishing

the doubt from his body and replacing it with…trust.

Trust in himself, trust in his friends, trust in everyone.

He would not betray their trust.

"I want a world where everyone can have

a normal life. I'm tired of people having to become

sacrifices. I'm tired of discrimination. I'm tired of people becoming victims."

The warmth had spread throughout his body.

He had garnered the attention of everyone in the room.

They looked to the young man in a new way now.

"I want to save the two worlds my way, with the help of my friends!"

The warmth in his body had lit up

the moods of everyone in the room.

The young man stood in the center of room,

not just as a gentle idealist, but one who would act

according to his ideals.

He would be the one who would save the two worlds.
