Secret Present
"It's a surprise, Usopp."
"Wha, I like surprises! But I thought the feast was your present, Sanji?" Confusion left me as the blonde haired man led me out of the party area to the deck. We rounded the corner and the waves rocked the Thousand Sunny as the lion drifted peacefully. The air was slightly chilly, but I didn't mind it.
"Baka, it is, but this is a secret present." He stood to look at me as we stared at one another. Fingers took the cigarette from his mouth as he soon approached me. "You can't tell anyone about it."
"Oh, sure!" Anticipation flowed through my veins as I was excited to know what the cook got me.
"Close your eyes." Blinking in confusion at him only made him grunt with the command again. They slid shut as I stood there in the silence before the scent of tobacco was literally on me. When I was about to voice my question, lips pressed to mine softly. The silky lips pressed towards me more as I felt shock fill me. He pulled away with me opening eyes and having heat flutter along my cheeks.
"You just…"
"Happy Birthday, stupid long nose." The tinting on a blush was on his cheeks as he tried to hide it with a hand moving to puff on the cigarette. A warm feeling was in my chest as I soon chuckled with a grin.
"Thanks, Sanji."
"We should get back, my ladies might need me~!" A twirl came from him as he rounded me to the kitchen.
A laugh left me as I stood with fingers touching my lips with a stronger heat rushing to my cheeks. The thought of him doing that again was on my mind. It was the present I could have ever gotten since this blonde haired man never left my mind when we separated for those two years to become stronger. Maybe I became such a strong warrior that he acknowledges me better. He kissed me even though he still acts like a gentleman for the ladies out in the world. I began to consider if it was all just a show of some sorts, but who knows?
"Hurry up, birthday boy!" A blue eye gazed to me as he leaned back to gaze around the corner.
"Ah! I'm coming!" My feet moved me to him as we made our way to the kitchen to continue the celebration.
I wonder if I will be able to get more kisses like that from him, even if it's just a few more?
