Forgotten

Summary: Two weeks later, he finally understood. It was remorse. Tezuryo, Momoryo

Author's note: This is a high-school era ficcy. Everybody is in high school, Seigaku. This'll be two weeks into the school year.

Even though Momoshiro was the one who had initiated the break-up, he didn't get why his heart lurched when he saw Echizen and Tezuka-buchou kissing behind the clubhouse three months later. Momoshiro just turned and ran, confused when he felt an unknown feeling that had made itself known in his stomach.

Two weeks later, he finally understood. Remorse. He apparently still liked Echizen.

"Echizen."

"Momo-sempai." the two exchanged greetings as Momoshiro passed Echizen walking somewhere with Tezuka-buchou. "Ne, Echizen, can I talk to you for a sec?" Momoshiro asked. Echizen looked at Tezuka and Tezuka nodded slightly, as if approving. "I'll meet you at the café later, Kunimitsu." he said before Tezuka left. "Okay, Ryo. I'll be at the usual table." that was probably the most Momoshiro had ever heard the stoic captain ever said outside of tennis related things. Ryoma smirked. "So, Momo-sempai, what did you want to talk about?" Echizen asked after Tezuka left. "Are you happy with Tezuka-buchou, Echizen?" Echizen nodded. They both lapsed into silence. Momoshiro spoke up, "you know, even I was the one who broke up with you, I felt sad and jealous when I accidentally saw you and Tezuka-buchou kissing two weeks back. It was then I realized that I still loved you, but you love Tezuka-buchou now, so I'm glad you've forgotten and maybe forgave." he said with a bitter laugh before turning around to walk off. "Momo-sempai, you broke my heart, but Kunimitsu was there to help put my heart together again, like you did. I've forgiven you, since you helped me get to know Kunimitsu, but I love him now." Echizen said as Momoshiro walked away before turning the opposite direction and walking to the café where Tezuka was waiting for him.

"Why did Momoshiro want to talk to you?" Tezuka asked when Echizen came to their usual spot at Café Avalon (1). "He wanted to say sorry and that he still loves me." Echizen said plopping down into a chair. "Really? I'm jealous Ryo. But you've forgiven him, right?"Tezuka said/ asked as Echizen ordered Earl Tea (2) and a slice of tiramisu. "Yes, I've forgiven him, but I can't believe you Kunimitsu, you know I love you now."

"Good." Tezuka said before they closed in for a kiss.

(2) They don't serve Ponta 'because it's an old-fashioned English café.
