It was hot; the room was cracking with sparks from the glaring youthful girl whose hair seemed to stand on ends. She was glaring once more at the object of her anger, one Ron Weasley.
Ever since Harry arrived, the two had all but ignored her being there, which was fine since she had time to finish her homework… Yet Ron had walked in on her changing into clothes and had not closed the door, but gawked until she threw a book at his head.
Now standing in the kitchen, they were glaring, she had yelled about his being rude, he had shouted about her trying to break his neck; she shrieked about his being a utter prat and he yelled about her being a bossy know it all.
Thus leading them to this, the moment when her hand soared through the air and like a crack of lightning the echo of her slap to him resounded through the room.
Harry and Ginny who were watching at the door way winced and fled the now at the safety of the second landing of stairs.
Yet rather than the cries of pain and the continuing of their heated row...there was silence.
Ginny who got up the nerve, snuck back down a froze in the doorway; since she did not return Harry went to see for himself what kept her.
There, entwined together, bodies crushed against one another so that not even a partial of air could slip through; were Ron and Hermione, kissing one another with a passion that makes the room crackle with their desire rather than anger.
It was a bloody sign that the world was going to end, so rather than get caught watching, without a cloak of invisibility, Harry and his girlfriend in secret went in search of Lorelei and Fred Weasley, to collect on a bet they made their last year in school about when those two would end up lip to lip.
