Elksburn: The Early Years

Prologue: The Building

A man in long, black cloaks, which are flowing in the wind, walks up to another. The first man has curly brown hair, while the other has long brown hair.

The first man says to the other "Reporting for duty, Firestar."

"Ah, Lionheart, so nice of you to finally join me."

"Not my fault" cried the curly haired man named Lionheart, "I was working on my wands." The other man, named Firestar, laughed, and said "No worries, my good friend Damien. I understand being enveloped in work." Firestar said to Damien Lionheart. "You had me worried there for a second, Axel. I knew you'd understand, though."

The two men looked out upon a building that was in the progress of being built. "It's going to be a good school, especially with the great first Headmaster." Damien said, buttering his friend up. "Why, thank you, Damien. I'm quite flattered." Axel said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Ay, what did you decide to name it?" Damien said, with a glint in his eye that would rival a madman.

"Elksburn. I hope the others agree. I do quite like the sound of Axel Firestar, Headmaster of Elksburn." Axel replied. "I'm sure they will. They always did." Damien said. "I'm amazed we got them all to agree to become teachers at a School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, when it hasn't even started yet." Axel said in way of reply.

"They always were destined. Like me and you. Don't you remember what Trelawney said to us, way back when?" Damien said. "Sure, but do you think any of us took it seriously at the time?" Firestar asked. "Of course we didn't. Yet, here we are." Lionheart agreed. "Only another year or two, and you'll be teaching classes in Wand Working, and be the Head of Ravenclaw house." Axel said. "Crazy to think, isn't it? Let me buy you a drink at Portside Pub." Damien said. "Sure. Baltimore, here we come!" Axel yelled into the wind, startling a few birds out of their trees.

The year was 2012. The school, which did move on to become Elksburn, opened in 2013. This is the story of Elksburn School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
