A/N: I consider this my first, real drabble. It's the shortest that I've done. It's just an introspective on Sakura, and her relationship with Naruto, and on how they view each other in the oh so cliche'd time when Sasuke is gone. Team Seven-ish is subtle, and angsty. NaruSaku implied.

Sakura can't really conclude why on the earth Naruto needs her so bad. She is Sakura Haruno, not Uchiha or vessel to Kyuubi. She is kunoichi-medic, nothing more. But still he needs her, and he pines for her. Sakura, naturally, takes the lead,

but she is blind.

She cannot bring back Sasuke, that's why she has Naruto. She knows she can be selfish, that it's unkind.

She cannot love as freely, even if it's close, as Naruto, that's why she has him.

Sakura cannot spit the words out as he hugs her, and tells her 'how much she means to him.' The words that she wants to say are on her lips, but her heart knows better.

Kunoichi Sakura knows he's a broken man, deep down, as a broken man he is, I am a broken woman, it's a shinobi bond to just know. But she often wonders if Naruto knows, when he begs, when he clings to her, and kisses her, that she is nothing but pieces. She pulls away, because it would be such a shame if he were to get cut by sharp, sharp pieces of glass. Sakura smiles because even though Naruto is an idiot, he is not blind like she was.

Although, she has second thoughts when he looks at her so wide-eyed, but then she recovers. Eyes so clear can never be blind. Sakura only smiles back, because maybe it'll help him in some ways. Because she's all he has. Even though his eyes are luminous, they stare somewhere where they shouldn't be staring. Perhaps, a little unfocused.

'I need you, Sakura-chan. Don't ever leave me Sakura-chan…If I have you, everything will be fine…'

Sakura only smiles, crookedly, as he stares at their picture of Team Seven on the shelf of his apartment. He stops, then grins down at her and grips at her shoulders.

Sakura returns later, when Naruto is not home,

and tears herself from the picture and rips it to bloody shreds.

Because Sakura is only simply a kunoichi-medic, so she cannot deliver Sasuke from evil.

She can't be Savior, for a shattered Sakura cannot give the salvation that Naruto needs or wants from her.
