Why Cas Is Afraid of Santa

"Cas! Seriously! They're just antlers."

"No human has sticks growing out of their head… What is he?" Cas hid behind Sam and clutched onto a small teddy bear uttering a prayer.

Dean laughed while Sam threw his hands up exasperated and in defeat. Sam shot Dean then continued with his explanation, "It's Christmas time, Cas. People walk around wearing Elf shoes and hats, reindeer antlers, and Santa ha-"

"Did you just say, Santa?" Cas' expression grew even more fearsome as he peered around Sam's torso at Christmassy dressed people.

"Yes. Santa. Big fat guy dressed in red? Jolly? Comes down your chimney every year to give you presents… That guy."

"He comes down your chimney?"

"Yes Cas."

The stupefied angel remained silent as he deliberated this information. "Sam?" Cas' voice was quiet.

"Yes Cas?"

"Don't let him get me." He looked up at Sam with puppy dog eyes.

"Who?"

"Santa. I've heard stories about him." He was shaking, "He's going to come get me and succeed this time…"

"This time?" Sam and Dean raised their eyebrows in unison.

Years Earlier..

"Ho-ho-ho! Have you been a good boy this year, Castiel?" A man dressed in a deep red suit chuckled and patted his lap as an excited young Cas jumped up and down.

"Oh yes, Santa! I've been extra good this year!" Cas beamed excitedly, flashing a huge smile.

The older man bent down to ruffle the younger boy's hair when his fake beard fell off, revealing a homely looking face with scars running down his cheeks.

Cas screamed and ran from the man; he decided to go into hiding for days.

"He... He looked like he was going to kill me, Sam." Cas finished his sentence with an almost-sob.

Dean snorted, "I didn't know angels participated in Christmas events."

"They used to." Cas confirmed this odd fact then widened his eyes. "NO!!!!"

Dean and Sam both followed his gaze to see a man dressed in a Santa suit walk towards them.

Cas squealed then ran out of the store.

Sam looked to Dean and shrugged.

Dean grinned, "I'm going to go see if they have a Santa suit in my size."
