"You win, you can kill me. I win, you go back to your realm and leave me be."
The Shinigami smirked. "Really, kid? You'll bet your life on a trivial human game?"
'Extra' smiled cockily. He was literally staring death in the face. "Well, now that you're bored with me, you're going to kill me anyway, aren't you?"
The grotesque beast laughed. "I suppose so. I really hadn't thought that far yet, but I guess I would have come to that. Though I guess you're more interesting than I thought. You've got a deal."
"Two out of three? Three out of five? Or just one game?"
"Well, one is most convenient. But three is fine. It'll be nice to see you panic."
"Fat chance." E laughed, and the God of Death chuckled.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors!"
E came up with scissors, and the Shinigami with paper. The god laughed, "Nice one."
Again, "Rock, Paper, Scissors!"
This time it was E with rock, and the death god with paper. This time, E was worried, though he'd never let it show. He couldn't. Wouldn't. This could be the end. But the Shinigami... He chose paper twice. Maybe he'll do it again. Just maybe.
For the last time... "Rock! Paper! Scissors!"
Extra chose scissors. The Shinigami chose rock.
Oh no...
"Heh heh," the Death God laughed as he wrote, "Well, kid. Looks like this is the end. But I tell you what; I'll make it quick. You've been good entertainment, I don't need to watch you suffer while you think about your death... It'll end right... about... now."
There was a glaring pain in E's chest, and as the ground swooped up towards him his vision faded.
The Shinigami picked up the notebook that Extra had left behind. "Ryuk must know of this. He would find humans so... interesting."
