Jasper sat next to Alice in their English class. He didn't bother talking to her; she was to absorbed in e-book shopping. Alice had bought the Barnes and Noble e-reader, and since it arrived in the mail, she shopped for e-books obsessively.

Suddenly, he felt waves of aggravation pouring off of her. "What's wrong?" he whispered low enough for humans not to hear.

"Total rip-off," Alice replied.

"What is, dear?" he asked. He was trying to calm her down. It wasn't working.

"This e-book!" she exclaimed. "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella by Stephenie Meyer. The title's probably longer than the book!"

"What does that have to do with being ripped off?"

"The price!" Jasper regretted starting this conversation. He should have known that it would end in a rant. "I mean, it's $9.99 for the e-book but $7.55 for the hardcover. Who would pay that? You're not even paying for paper for e-books! Then you can read it online for free…" Jasper tuned out the rant. He absent-mindedly wondered if she was going to read it anyway.
