A/N. Second poem! Woohoo! This one, I had to write for a poetry anthology a month.
ANY REGRETS
You give up so easily
"Forget it", you say.
"There are other easier things to reach for", you say.
Like that last chocolate chip cookie in the package, over the apple
Savor it now,
But sooner or later it will give you cavities
Then you will wish you had not cheated
Because
Your happiness would've lasted you a lifetime
Had you made the right choice
But you cheated
And now, all you get is a cheap thrill
