"Kadaj," Yazoo's voice drifted to him, breaking him from his concentration.
"What?" Kadaj snapped, immediately turning his back on his brothers. Hiding.
"Will you cry?" Loz inquired, Kadaj glared over his shoulder at him, Yazoo sighed lazily.
"Just kill him."
"What do you mean, you kissed him?" Yazoo questioned, hardly bothered by Kadaj's statement at all. Unnerving, did Yazoo care about anything?
"I mean I kissed him!"
Yazoo seemed to contemplate the statement for a moment. Kadaj sighed exasperated with himself, kissing the enemy surely wasn't something that had been planned. It would certainly interrupt the Reunion if anything ever happened between the two. Cloud would never let him go through with it, but Kadaj had to, it wasn't an optional thing. Kadaj paced around, trying to figure out any way to make the whole thing go away.
"Did you, do you, like him?" Yazoo seemed to struggle with the right words, Kadaj stared up at the sky, pausing in his step. Neither of them knew what to do.
"…"
"Kadaj?"
Kadaj twisted around, to face Yazoo, frowning. Kadaj sighed, why was it everything he didn't want to happen always happen? After a brief uncomfortable silence he just nodded. Yazoo simply returned a look that clearly stated 'oh'.
Yazoo raised his gun, eying Kadaj suspiciously, Kadaj turned away. Exhaling he forced himself to leave his brother's with his order. He couldn't let the weakness get in the way, that wasn't what they were there for. You could still save him, a timid voice pleaded with him; it doesn't have to be like this. It didn't, but one of them had to die, it could end either way, this way just happened across them. It occurred to him several times that he would have to kill the one person he ever actually had any form of feelings towards. He glanced up at the sky, they had met several other times, each time ending with a failed resistance to the other.
He turned around; it has to be like this.
"Sorry," The unforgiving sound echoed through the silence, Kadaj watched as Yazoo slowly lowered the gun. "Cloud."
