Own Nothing.
One-shot
Dani was helping T.K with another problem when Nico arrived through the front door. Reggae and Lindsey sat at the kitchen island as their Grandmother brought in the head of security. Nico gave them a nod. "You here for mom?" Reggae asked, taking a bite of his dinner.
"Yes." Nico stated.
"Is it an actual date, or do you have another client?" Lindsey asked, smirking behind her glass.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Nico gave them a stare, that was a warning in itself
"That's enough. The two of you go upstairs and get started on your homework." Their Grandmother ordered, sending them both upstairs. They watched as the two teenagers walked upstairs. Then the older woman turned to look at the head of security. "So what do you think you are doing with my daughter?"
He was actually taken back. "Excuse me?"
"My daughter. I see the way you and that Matt fellow look at her. He's attracted to her, she's sexy to him. But you, you're amazed by her." The older woman gave a crooked smile. "So I ask again, what do you plan to do with my daughter?"
"We work together." Nico stated, shrugging. "We're friends."
"Friends could lead to something." She winked at him as Dani walked into the kitchen. "Hello Danielle."
"Hi Ma. Nico, what are you doing here?" She asked, pouring herself a cup of coffee. "Want a cup?" She asked, getting another mug out.
"Sure. with creamer if you have it." He stated. "Is T.K gone already?"
"Yep, just left few minutes ago." She placed his cup in front of him. She took a sip out of her's, watching as his nose scrunched up. "What, you don't like french vanilla?"
"More of a caramel creme kind of guy." He took another sip. "French vanilla is fine."
"I'll get Caramel next time I know you're coming."Dani smiled, then looking at her mother. "Where's the kids?"
"Upstairs, I sent them to do their homework."
"Which means they're not doing it." Dani sighed into her mug. She looked back at Nico. "So why are you here again?"
"You have a new client." Nico said. "We got to meet him.
"Of course I do." Dani set her mug down. "Let me tell the kids that I'm leaving." She walked out of the room and upstairs.
" Remember," Dani's mother began, catching Nico's attention. "Friends can lead to anything."
"Okay, ready." Dani walked back into the room. "Nico, you ready to go?"
"More then ready." He gave one more glance to Dani's mother before turning away. They walked out of the house and to his car. He opened the door for her, then got in on his side.
"So what were you and my ma talking about?" She gave him a squint.
"You're squinting again. You don't like me talking to your mother?" He asked, pulling out of the drive way.
"Not with the way you've been acting."
"We were just talking about leads. That's all."
