Chapter 1 - Arrival
They opened the double-doors. Piercing eyes greeted them, and, scanning the Hall, they could see that it was not only the students who were staring. They strode toward the Head Table, looking confidant but feeling self-conscious, and were met by a twinkling Headmaster.
"Welcome back. I trust your travel was," he paused momentarily, as if searching for the right word, "satisfactory?"
The four students smiled and nodded, as they shook hands with him.
"Good to know," he said kindly.
Professor Dumbledore turned to the sea of faces looking up to the Table.
"Students, I would like to introduce Alyssia Sanford, Megan Silverstone, Arden Sedgwick and Dorian Hunter. They have returned to us at last."
Confused faces peered up at him. The Headmaster sighed, the twinkle still present in his eye.
"I shall explain…"
A/N I'm sorry it's soooooooooo short, but it's juts a little taster of what's to come. I don't think there are any mistakes but please let me know if there are, I will take all criticism on board to improve my writing. And lastly, flames are welcomed with open arms. They are used to keep me warm on these long Winter nights (alright, alright, just imagine it's Winter, okay?). And to conclude, I really am sorry for the shortness, but I promise that the next chapter will be longer (and hopefully better).
