Venting my frustration through the medium of fan fiction! :D Just a little fun scene I would love to see haha.
Dr Nikki Alexander was sat at her desk typing up a report of a recent post-mortem. She was working late to get it finished before the next day. As she was typing a small notification popped up in the corner of her screen.
"Windows needs to install new updates.
Restarting in: 09:53....
.............................................| \/ 5 mins|
Restart _________________Postpone"
Nikki sighed. This was the 3rd notification she'd had today. She set the drop down box to 4 hours and pressed "Postpone" before reopening the window her report was in. She clicked the icon but nothing happened. Suddenly she saw the widgets on the side of her screen disappear. "No, no, no! What are you doing??" she muttered to herself. She clicked the Microsoft Word icon repeatedly, willing it to open. Then the screen changed....."Windows is shutting down...."
"I pressed postpone for god's sake!" She half yelled at the computer. Yelling was futile though. She would just have to pray to god document recovery would be able to bring back her almost finished report.
As the windows shutting down jingle played out from her computer she was furious. "WHO THE HELL'S IDEA WAS IT TO GET VISTA???" she yelled across the room, but there was no-one there to hear her. Everyone else had already gone home.
