Minor Setbacks
A lot of concepts were foreign to her due to her sheltered upbringing. She had no concept of currency, she couldn't navigate a village to save her life, and horseback riding proved to be a difficulty. Her optimistic nature kept her from noticing her inabilities, and consistently plunged her into new discoveries. And soon after establishing their new home in the castle, Eugene's newfound hobby became being her personal assistant to every day life in the kingdom.
It didn't occur to him, however, that after putting months of preparation into his proposal to her and presenting the finest ring (her parents') money could buy, she'd smile wholeheartedly after hearing his "will you marry me" float in the air along with the thousands of lanterns, and proceed to bend down to ask him in a sheepish whisper, "What does that mean?"
