Protecting a Princess

Post SOTFF, Pre Movie. Crane and Mei Ling are hired to Protect a family of snakes to the Jade Palace. First chapter is short but the others will be way longer. Depending on how you look at this, this will be Mei LingXCrane or CraneXViper.

A new story?, Yes a new story, Get over it.

Crane glared down the courtyard to his friend Mei Ling, who was holding a bow n arrow. Exhaling a deep breath Crane raised his wings towards his face. Mei Ling sighed as she pulled the string back aiming the arrow at Crane.

"You sure about this Crane?" Mei Ling asked as held the bow back. Crane lowered his wings in disbelieve. "Are you even ready?".

"What the hell?, Your not suppose to tell me when your about to shoot." Crane began to rant, Mei Ling sighed again as she let go of the bow string sending the arrow flying towards. The bird's lightning fast reflexes caught the arrow, Crane began to run after Mei Ling, Who loaded up another arrow and fired, Crane then used his wing to deflect the projectile, Crane run up to the cat to get into stabbing distance, Mei Ling dropped her bow and reached for a small dagger in her pocket. Crane then got up to Mei Ling holding the arrow he had caught up to Mei Ling's throat.

"I win." Crane said normally looking at Mei Ling who laughed. "What's so funny?". Crane then felt a cold touch just above his belt. Mei Ling rolled her eyes down as Crane did the same, It was her dagger and it was tapping his feathers, She also had enough room to stab him if she wanted to.

"That's enough." Mei Ling and Crane turned around to see their bull instructor stop the fight. Crane and Mei Ling dropped their weapons and bowed to the bull, the bull master waved his hand and stopped the bowing.

"Sir, What's today's mission?" Mei Ling asked.

"Mei Ling, Today's mission well be the next three day's mission." Mei Ling and Crane looked questionably at their master.

The bull master read the look and follow suit. "Let me explain, We have been hired by a man to protect a VIP."

"Great, So who are where are we going?" Mei Ling asked in a semi-sarcastic voice.

"The Jade Palace." The bull Master said.

"But the Master there only accepts the best Kung fu Students." Crane said curiously.

"This person is suppose to be top notch."

"And rich, Hiring students from the best kung fu school around." Mei Ling said walking off into the academy, She turned around and continued to talk, "When do we leave?".

"Now." The bull said sending Crane away with Mei Ling to get their things backed.
