A brown-haired man tugged uncomfortably at his suit collar as he glanced around the interior of the fancy restaurant. He wasn't used to this kind of atmosphere or place; in fact, being at this place made him feel quite uneasy. He'd rather be outside, watching the crimson sunset from the Inazuma tower instead of from this tiny window-side table. But he had a reason for being here. A very important reason.

The man's gaze fell upon the beautiful woman in front of him. She caught his eye and smiled brightly at him, effectively making his heart skip a beat. Her auburn eyes glimmered as she took in the scenery around her.

"Isn't this nice? Thank you so much for taking me here!"

The man tightened his grip around the small, square box in his pocket, nodding awkwardly. "Y-yeah."

The woman tilted her head, leaning over the table to grasp the man's free hand. "Are you alright? We can go somewhere else if you want to."

"N-no, I'm fine!" He said abruptly. The woman raised her eyebrow skeptically.

"O...kay...?" She smiled and shook her head at the man's supposed silliness.

This was it. This was his chance. This was what he'd been waiting for. Everything around the man slowed down. He could hear his heart pounding in his ears, echoing loudly above everything else. "A-actually, there's something I've been meaning to ask you..."

The woman blinked in curiosity. "Okay, go on."

Everything else in the room disappeared. There were no other customers chattering, there were no waiters taking orders, there was no ultra-fancy restaurant. It was just Mamoru and Natsumi, facing each other from opposite sides of a table. A bead of cold sweat ran down Endou's face. He gripped his little box even tighter. There was no turning back now. Endou opened his mouth.

"Natsumi...you're amazing. You're kind, persistent, caring, and though you don't always like to do things, you're always looking for a way to help. You've managed to be able to put up with a guy like me for years. So, basically, uh...W-will you marry me?"

Slowly, everything came back into view. He could see the waiters, the customers, and the restaurant again. But they weren't talking. They were all staring at the couple, waiting intently for Natsumi's answer, almost as much so as Endou.

Natsumi smiled slowly, tears running down her face. Endou immediately panicked. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you cry!"

The auburn-haired woman shook her head. "It's not that...I'm crying because I'm so happy, you big idiot. Of course I'll marry you."

At that moment, the entire restaurant burst into cheers. Several people were on their feet clapping. Endou grinned wider than he ever had before; he felt like he was flying. This was, by far, the best day of his entire life.
