Heart of the World

FFVI Poem: "And time will destroy all of those as well. Why do people insist on creating things that will inevitably be destroyed? Why do people cling to life, knowing that they must someday die? ...Knowing that none of it will have meant anything once they do?"

Life…dreams…hope…Where do they come from? And where do they go…? Such meaningless things…I'll destroy them all!

Heart of the World

It's all just an act,

This 'love' I see.

From a man and a woman,

To just family.

…

False meaning, false purpose,

An insipid scheme.

Replacing reality,

With insipid dreams.

…

It's just an illusion,

The 'heart' replacing the mind.

A pleasant delusion,

But there's nothing to find.

…

Just smoke and mirrors,

That's all that I see.

A world based on a lie,

On both land and sea.

…

I listen to prattle,

Words wage their war.

But they are but just words,

And nothing more.

…

It has to stop,

This world's come to an end.

And if 'love's' at its heart,

It's a heart I shall rend.
