Past, Present, Future

The flames of the monster are dying

But flames in the heart are still rising

Returned to the future but missing the past

Silver hedgehog's flag is flying half-mast

Amy the rose in his eyes

Will never get to hear his pained sighs

One from the past and one from the future

United to fight Iblis, the evil creature

But destiny plays out and the world's moving on

Sun pierces the clouds for the first time in an eon

Yet can't touch the heart of he, the city's saviour

Who stands on the rooftops and remembers the Blue Blur

Happiness, blue skies and a certain pink hedgehog

The past grows more appealing each day

He may be able to return, maybe, just maybe,

And the price of his trip will be never returning.

But love changes everything, and quickens the senses

Silver hedgehog rushes to find his Emeralds

Across the city they're scattered, but left defenceless

This warrior will return to the past.

It's all so familiar, the blue of the water

The touch of the breeze on his cheek

The memory of a royal daughter

And her friend, the one he will seek

Up goes the cry, "Silver! You're back!"

All across town, they know him

It's not long before he comes under attack

From the rose in his eyes who never forgot him.

Old friends and new friends, the distinction is hazy

He's just so glad to see them all again

With Amy beside him he's all warm and fuzzy

It's the future's loss but Silver's gain.
