Shivers wracking her body (both from cold and terror) she huddles closer against him, relishing how his arms wrap tightly around her. Angling her head to look at him, her lips unexpectedly press against his. He tastes strangely of desperation mixed with relief.

Surprise transforms into passion, meeting no resistance from either. She moans while he trails kisses along her neck; their bodies molding around each other. All the while, one thought echoes through her mind. He came back for me.

It's the first time she realizes Mulder was wrong: the truth isn't out there. It's right here beside her.
