Erin was driving back unable to hold back the tears caused by her confrontation with Hank. The rain had not eased and Erin came to a red light. She lowered her visor mirror and just rubbed her face and tears. Her phone then lit up and began to ring from the passenger seat. It was Jay. She sent it to voice mail, lifted her visor, and wiped her face once more. She took a deep breath as the light turned green. She then pressed the accelerator.

*Loud crash*

Things went dark. A sound of a horn began to get louder. She couldn't move but began to gather her vision. It was a bit blurred then just turned into a daze. Her head was leaning on her broken window. The sharded edge of the glass from the window was exactly where her head laid rested. She lifted her head realizing that the entire left side of her head was badly cut from the glass and she was pinned from her waist down. She tried to move but felt a sharp pain. She let out a scream. She turned to find the driver exiting her vehicle.

"I can't move!" Erin yelled. "I'm calling 911! I'm sorry!" the driver panicked. Erin then saw the light of her phone from between the seats. She desperately tried to reach. Again, she felt a sharp pain but pushed through long enough for her to reach the phone. She then felt a great sharp burning pain in her chest. She answered the phone frantically while talking to the other driver who was on the phone with 911. "I can't breathe!" she screamed while trying to catch her breath. She held her phone tight. She looked at her phone to see that it was Olinsky who had called. She began to feel herself losing consciousness.

"Erin? Erin?!" Olinsky began to yell. He then put his phone on speaker and the entire squad was able to hear through the radio. Everyone stood still. They mostly heard a loud continuous horn in the background. The line then went dead.

Hank threw the shovel in the back of his vehicle and slammed into the driver's seat. All he heard was Erin. "… can't breathe." He then heard Olinsky screaming frantically. The worse came to mind. He sped off.

"Mouse, track-!" Voight yelled but was interrupted by Mouse.

"She's at the intersection of Auburn and 19th!" Mouse reported.

"Dispatch, we have an officer down at Auburn and 19th street! Plain clothed officer on the scene, we are responding. Send backup and an ambulance now!" yelled Jay through the radio. "Be advised, an accident has been reported at the intersection, units and ambulance are now on scene." replied the dispatch.

Voight, Olinsky, Halstead, Ruzek, and Dawson all headed to the intersection.

Voight drove as fast as he had ever done before. Feeling the sudden pain of just losing his son and now the panic of not knowing what was wrong with Erin, practically the only family he had left. He did not let the rain slow him down. This made him think of how Erin must have been driving when she was rushing to stop him from murdering his son's murderer. He sped faster until he came across the sound of a continuous horn and flashing lights from a police vehicle and an ambulance.

He stopped his vehicle sharply and ran out as fast as he could. He saw that it was Erin's car. The same car that he had just told Erin to get back into not too long before. The officers and paramedics were all surrounded around Erin's vehicle.

Hank gasped at the sight.
