Fipp: I wonder if in the game, Yuna will say his name?

A Fleeting Dream

"Listen! I don't know who you are, and I don't care! All I care about is settling things with my old man, and nothing going to stop me! And if you get in my way, I'm gonna fight you too!"

Yuna snapped awake, and took several moments to assess where she was. After a brief second, she remembered that she was on the Phantom Train; she and her group and decided to rest for the night, and see where the train would lead them.

Sitting on one of the large, and somewhat dust padded benches, she looked outside through the window she fell asleep against, and to the dark trees as they zoomed past her . . .

"Are you okay?" Yuna turned around to see Tifa see down next to her. "You sounded like you woke up from a nightmare."

Yuna looked down to her lap. "I'm-I'm fine."

"You're a terrible liar."

"I know . . ."

" . . . Is it, him?"

Yuna hesitated for a moment. "Yes. Yes it is." She took a deep breath before she began to explain. "I promised that I'd help him remember our world, and the things we experienced together, but everything I do, just doesn't seem to work. In fact, it just seems to push him further away from me . . ."

"A lot of people don't remember anything from their original worlds," Both woman looked to the bench across from them towards Vaan, who was laying on his back, using his arms as pillows. "But, someone in your kind of position, that must be hard."

"It is," Yuna sighed.

"You shouldn't concern yourself with that guy," from the other side of the bench Yuna and Tifa sat one, Lightning sat, eyes closed and arms crossed. "He's with Chaos, that means you can't trust him."

"You don't have to be so harsh Lightning!" Vaan sat up. "And, not all of Chaos' guy are that bad . . ."

Yuna tilted her head. Oh yeah, Vaan had made a friend with someone from Chaos' side; that girl, Terra.

She then looked over to Tifa, who had also made a friend in another of Chaos' Warriors; Cloud.

"I don't know how," Tifa spoke-up. "But I bet somehow, you'll get him to remember you, and the things you went through."

"Yeah," Vaan agreed. "And even though he want's to fight him, I'm sure Jecht will try and get him to remember." He punched a fist into his palm. "And knowing him he's going to try and beat it into him."

Yuna gave a small laugh. "Thank you, both of you."

Tifa smiled. "Think nothing of it, we're your friends, I'm sure you'd help us in the same situation." She then jumped up from her spot and stretched her arms. "Now, I think we should get back to sleep. We don't know what tomorrow's going to bring, so we better get what sleep we can." She then walked to the other side of the aisle, and back to the seat she had chosen for her bed.

Across from her, Vaan nodded. "Night everyone! You too Lightning!"

"Whatever . . ." came the reply.

Vaan shook his head. "Geez, why does she have to be so . . ." He left the sentence unfinished as he lay back down.

With everyone going back to sleep, Yuna settled herself into a more comfortable position to rest in, and went to sleep.

"Just give a whistle, and wherever you are, I'll be sure to come running!"

She hoped, when she awoke in the morning, that when she whistled, he would remember that promise, and would come and find her.
