A/N: Okay, so I started watching Psych a month or so ago. I absolutely LOVE that show! :) You'll understand if you watch it, and even if you don't, it's still a great story! Hope you enjoy it!
I take a deep breath as Aunt Vick and I enter the Santa Barbra police department.
"Right around the corner," Vick says, straightening her suit.
I glance at myself in the reflection of a window. My dark blond hair has kept its curl, much to my surprise, and my light blue summer dress makes my blue eyes stand out.
We walk up to a desk where a pretty woman is typing something.
"Good morning, Juliet, do you have a second?" Vick asks the woman.
"Yes, Chief, I do."
"I'd like you to meet my niece, Rose," Vick says, gesturing in my direction.
She holds out her hand for me to shake. "Nice to meet you, Rose. Juliet O'Hara."
"Nice to meet you too," I say.
"Rose wants to work in the police department someday. She came to visit me on her spring break. Do you mind if you finish introducing her to everyone else? I'm busy working on a new case."
"Sure. I will," Juliet says, "That's Mc–"
"Hey, Jules, busy today?" a handsome looking man says as he appears at Juliet's desk. Then he veers his attention toward me. "Whoa! Who's this hottie?"
"I'm Vick's niece, Rose. And who might you be?" I ask, curious about him.
"Shawn Spencer, head psychic of the police department. Nice to meet you," he says, looking me in the eyes. I blush, too lost for words.
"Jules, why didn't you tell me she was coming? I would've gotten Rose a gift," Shawn says as he glances at me. "Do you have any plans for tonight, Rose?"
"Well actually I'm supposed to meet an old friend for dinner. Maybe tomorrow?" I ask, hoping he'll agree.
"Oh, before you go, Shawn, Chief says she wants you to take Rose with you for your next case since Gus is out of town," Juliet tells Shawn.
"Sure," Shawn replies, then raising his eyebrows at me, "I'd love to hang out with Rose."
I blush.
"Do you want me to show her around?" Shawn asks Juliet.
"Sure," she agrees. Then, leaning over to whisper in his ear, she adds, "I hear there's an interesting case Chief just received. You may want to check it out."
