~Deathly Hallows Pt 2~

And so we pick off where we left off,
Voldemort has the wand, which should get more than a cough.
Dobby the House Elf has left the Earth,
Compared to the beginning, he left with a lot more worth.

To Gringotts they go, and encounter a dragon,
They find more that just a wooden wagon.
Griphook crossed them, in taking the sword,
Now what were they going to do to finish Voldemort the lord?

A trip to Hogwarts is what's next on this journey,
Voldemort is overtaking the world: there is no attorney.
Let the battle begin, there is so much to be said,
Of the people we thought we knew, who are now dead.

Many are slain, Harry can not allow any more,
Remus, Severus, Tonks, Fred, and the year previous, Dumbledore.
After going to the Shrieking Shack to find Severus dying,
He collected his memories, to find out why Snape was crying.

A final look, green and black,
Then Harry left, as Snape's grip went slack.
He ran to the Headmaster's place,
"Dumbledore," he blurted in his race.

He was in! And now to the Pensieve,
What he saw, he knew he needed to achieve.
Harry needed to sacrifice himself to Voldemort,
He had a horcrux in him, he learned from the report.

Taking a deep breath, he walked to the Forbidden Forest,
Feeling a weight in his chest.
Taking out the Golden Snitch, he whispered, "I am about to die,"
There was the Resurrection Stone: death it would defy.

Turning it thrice in his hand, they appeared,
Lily, James, Remus, and Sirius stood before him, a little feared.
They encouraged him, they were a part of him forever,
He could find them wherever, and whenever.

A flash of green light hit Harry in the chest,
But Harry wasn't dead, just simply having a rest.
He talked to Dumbledore and learnt what should have been a deal,
"Of course it's happening inside your head Harry, by why on Earth shouldn't it be real?"

By fate and choice, Harry awoke, lying still,
He had a death act to fill.
The cries of Hagrid, McGonagall and Ginny could be heard,
Yet Harry laid still, trying block every word.

He longed to jump up and say he was well,
But it wasn't the time, he could not yell.
A time did announce itself, just like it should have played,
Harry vs Tom Riddle the outcome already made.

A duel to the death, only one can win,
Harry had to, not only because his old wand was the twin.
But the Elder Wand belonged to Harry, it would not defeat it's own master,
Voldemort was mistaken, he killed Snape, the old Headmaster.

Voldemort's defeated, and now the epilogue please,
I'll try and fit it all in one little squeeze.
Lily Luna, Albus Severus, and James Sirius running around,
At Platfrom 9 and 3/4 with Harry and Ginny is where they could be found.

And then there is Hugo and Rose,
With Hermione and Ron, married as proposed.
And now I am done, so enjoy the magical world,
When I write my next poem, about how their adventures unfurl.
