"I love you too." Phil declared in the empty air between he and Dan as they both drank tea and were browsing the same Internet they had met on so many years previous.
"What?" asked Dan curiously with a shocked laugh.
"Well, I already know you love me, so I was just saving time by telling you I loved you back." Phil explained. Dan and Phil stared at each other in a long moment, Phil's eyes full of love while Dan's were full of shock, confusion and happiness.
"I never said I loved you." Dan smiled in reply.
"Dan, you never have to." Phil laughed back lightheartedly. Dan put his laptop aside as Phil's set his on the bookshelf and Dan scooted closer to kiss Phil's face, neck and every open surface he could find. "And it's times like this where you don't need to say it, but you show it." Phil smiled then bite his lip in elated happiness.
