Ran Away

She despised weakness in any form.

But she ran away like she always did.

She ran away leaving them behind.

All she wanted to do was run away from the darkness.

The darkness which had swallowed them up by now.

Those who always cherished her but she detested them.

Detested them for their fake love.

She had always wondered,

Love… What was it?

She never could fathom love.

She was brought up with her dad who mistreated her.

Who disliked her for her frailness.

But she wasn't fragile.

She was tough.

The toughest.

But the toughness yet had to be awaken.

By someone.

But who?

She carried on running through the hall of darkness, where her dad lay behind, trying to reach the light,

The light which kept getting further as she approached.

The light which she couldn't grasp.

She gave up,

Like she always did,

She sat there clutching her legs.

Starring ahead,

Ahead at what?

The light which she couldn't reach,

She started crying,

Crying at her feebleness.

She always lived in solitude despite living with her parents.

She never made any real friends.

The friends she had were only named friends.

She stared at her weak hands tears falling on them.

Disgusted with herself because she was weak.

She never wanted to be weak.

But no one wants to be weak.

She sat there.

The salty water rolling down from her eyes.

Trying to fathom her situation.

But like always she couldn't understand anything.

Because she was too afraid to think.

Afraid of what?

Even she didn't know what.
