Curiosity Killed the Dark Dimwit

The door swung open and the floorboards creaked. The candles on the end table flickered, as the dark figure moved toward the man sitting in his large chair. The darkness swallowed both.

"Did you get what I acquire?" the man said silkily.

"Yes, my lord. It was tedious, but I managed to get my hands on it."

The man in the chair smiled evilly. "I can finally kill that insufferable prat." The Dark Lord muttered beneath his breath. His red eyes flickered up to the dark man and stuck his hand out- grabbing the object.

"Now…the world... will. Be Mine!" the Dark Lord cackled and looked down at the object. It was small and metal. He had heard about the power these things possessed, and now he too had one.

"They call it a pistol, my Lord. Unstoppable."

"I must try it out. Grab Wormtail for me, Severus."

Snape obliged, and disappeared, only to reappear with a very scared Wormtail. He tried to break free of the tall man's grasp but he couldn't.

"How does this work?" Voldemort asked, admiring the foreigness of the object. It was cold, and heavy. He looked at the hole, at the end of the barrel and his red eyes glittered.

"What is thi- His finger squeezed the trigger and his face slapped back- blood spraying across the room onto the two occupants.

Snape stared, shocked for a moment, and then arched his eyebrow.

"Well, that settles that." He said, and walks out of the room, satisfied with the sudden turn of events.
