This little drabble came while I was playing World of Warcraft. If you don't know the game at least somewhat, I wouldn't recommend you reading this.
Disclaimer: I could never produce such awesomeness as Detective Conan or World of Warcraft.
"Where are you?"
"I can't get out of the starting area!"
"Well, I guess it doesn't help, you being shorter than the guys you're trying to kill."
"Just keep it up, Kuroba. Why did I let you talk me into playing this?"
"Oh, come on. I think you look very good as a gnome—wait, you're just leaving him on autoattack all the time?"
"Yeah, why not?"
"You're supposed to use Heroic Strike once in a while, you know. Whenever you have the rage to spare, it's a good idea."
"Damn it, I got killed by that same orc rogue again!" Conan aimed a glare at the grinning thief beside him. "I told you we should have done a PvE realm, but no, you just had to play on Boulderfist."
"Lemme guess, he's with that guild, "Black Ravens"?"
"Yeah. They keep attacking me as soon as I come back; there's always one waiting at the graveyard, so I can't get any work done."
"You want me to ask about getting you an invite to "The Ravens killed Shuuichi"?"
"I'd love to, but I thought no one was online right now?"
"Hang on a sec." Kaito said, typing quickly. Moments later, Conan received the invitation from Jodiechick and clicked "Accept". The first chat message to appear after the normal "welcomes" was "Black Raven following you?"
"Yeah," he typed in response. "Could you send someone to help me? I can't get out of Anvilmar; they keep coming after me as soon as I resurrect."
"Yeah, sure, Chibi :) Calema's coming."
"Thanks. And don't call me Chibi."
"We should really go run "For the Alliance!"." The link popped up onscreen.
"I can't come, you know. This guy's my main and the guards would kill me."
"We'll send you screenshots."
"No thanks, I don't really approve anyway. We're trying to land a dent in the guild, not the Horde in general. Let me know if you get Them, especially Vmaskgirl and Gkillunow."
"Can do. They'll probably be in Undercity protecting Sylvanas. There're more places to hide and it's way easier to get lost there if you miss the hall going down. Besides, she doesn't have much of a heart, being undead and all. I get the feeling they feel a kind of kinship."
"I'll get on my guy," Kaitokid said, logging out and choosing another character from the selection screen. Moments later, an announcement was sent out to the guild saying that "Redherring" had come online. "Ok, let's go," he said, using the keyboard to guide his character out of the city and getting on the white stallion he was able to call a mount.
"Give them a /slap for me." Conan said, returning to his efforts to continue in the game.
Yeah, really bad ending, but I always hated doing those.
