She turns to face him, and he welcomes it. God help him, he longs for it. The look of confusion on her face subsides before he even has a chance to explain. She leans in. In an instant he's pulled in by passion, and as if by pure instinct they begin to kiss. As the kiss slowly becomes more passionate he finds himself holding her, caressing her beneath the sun. The sun. It beats down on his back and he can feel the heat rushing through his body, yet he remains as he is. The intense heat of daylight refuses to turn him into what it has always promised, dust. The kiss fades with its urgency and his lips part from hers. He is caught for a moment in her glance. She's beautiful. Wisps of glimmering golden blonde hair frame her face and her green eyes have never before seemed so penetrating. He doesn't know what's happening but all he wants is to stay in this moment forever. Suddenly the sky turns dark and a flash of light can be seen followed by a roar of thunder. She's gone. Water drips down onto his forehead. It's raining. In confusion he turns to find her, to find himself, and stops when he sees it. A large tower. It looks like the work of a construction site. That's not what caught his eye though, he's looking at the top of the tower where a glimmer of gold can be seen. It's the glimmer of a blonde woman, and she appears to be talking to someone. He looks closer. A younger woman dressed in a white robe. The blonde suddenly turns and starts to run. Run? She's running faster now, she's going to jump. "BUFFY!" the word leaves his lips before he himself even realizes it was her. Another flash of light and roar of thunder and now he's at the foot of the tower. Everything is blurry and he's lost in confusion. He looks up and sees a two women crying in the arms of a brown haired man. Their faces become more distinct. Willow. Anya. Xander. He looks to the left to find a distraught pale face lying in the arms of a leather jacket. A crying Spike. He turns once more to find a limp, lifeless body lying atop the pavement just before him. The hair on the body's head is a glimmering golden blonde. She's gone.

Angel opens his eyes, panting. He wipes the sweat of his brow as he realizes it was just a dream, just another dream. They've been coming often now, each time more and more in depth. The clock reads three a.m.; it's still early yet. Slowly he drifts off to sleep yet again. Eight o'clock rolls around to find Angel lying awake in bed. It happened again. This time he saw more. There was a gravestone and a spell. That spell. He could barely remember what happened, but pieces of his dream came flashing back. There was a snake. And a group of people around a gravestone. THAT gravestone. And the voice of a female, the voice of...who was it? It was driving him crazy. All he could think of was the last thing he saw before he woke, something that he just couldn't shake. An image of a corpse coming back to life and out of the grave. An image of a corpse with golden blonde hair. Could it be? Is it possible? It was beginning to make sense. His eyes widened "Buffy..."
