Why is it easier to hide the pain and the sorrow that others have dealt with,
tears that fall easier in the rain when they can hide from others,
looking at the past and the friendships that have come but are now broken.
What will the future bring to this sight?

Amu looked outside the window of her old house knowing it would be the last time she would be in it. Tears formed in her golden eyes from all the memories that were made in this room.

Amu was packing the last bit of her stuff up, the last things she would pack up was a photo of her friends Kumiko and Ayumu. They were identical twins, both had long beautiful silver hair and blue eyes, but their personality were opposite of each other.

Amu told them about her moving away and she could see they were devastated about it, but they soon accepted and exchanged cell number, so they could call and text each other.

The true reason they were moving was because her mom got a huge promotion, but they would have to move near Seiyo High. A very well-known high school, not to mention it was for rich kids. Amu sadly packed up the last box and walked down the stairs, putting it with the rest of her items.

"It will be okay Amu dear, you will be able to come here and visit them on holidays and breaks." Midori said to her daughter, as she placed a box in the moving truck.

"I know that but it's hard to move from a place you have lived sixteen years of your life, I really don't want to move." Amu said as she looked away, knowing it was getting late and they had to get some sleep, before they left for their new home.

"I know it's going to be a hard change, but I can tell you this you will be starting Seiyo High after summer break is over, in a few weeks." Midori said to her daughter, as she pulled out two sleeping pallets, pillows and a blanket and set them down. Giving her a sad soft smile, before the two got ready for bed.

Amu looked at her mom and sighed, walking out the door to look at the sky. It was already starting to get dark.

"This will be the last time I'll see the sunset from here, why must it be so hard to move? I don't want to leave." Amu said to herself, as the stars started to appear in the dark midnight blue sky.

Amu walked back in, and took a box of instant food, and started to eat. It was not long before her mom came over to her. She gave her a big hug, then laid down to sleep.

Amu sighed, yet again. She stood up from the table and went to the bathroom. Amu turned the nob so water would fill the bathtub. Her body hurt from moving the boxes all day, so the hot water helped to wash away the pain. Time passed before the pain subsided.

Amu staid in the bath longer then she planned. What? It felt good. When, she did return to the dry world she got dressed in a light blue tank top and black workout shorts. Amu left the bathroom, with her pink hair still dripping wet. She walked over to her made shift bed, and curled up on it, before falling into a deep, dreamless, sleep.

Morning came around, and the sound of quiet footsteps filled the small rooms. Midori, Amu's mother, didn't want to make any loud sounds, she wanted her daughter to sleep longer. She planned to wake her pinkette around seven thirty am. Amu did after all need some time to change clothing and do her hair before the movers arrived, to drive the trucks.

A groan came from the sleeping pinkette, as she sat up and looked around confused. Sluggishly, Amu got up and grabbed a pair of short dark blue jeans and a black tank top, along with a black choker, that has a silver angel hanging on it.

She put the outfit on, along with the black and blue striped stalking, that she had laid out the night before. Just as she finished putting on her gothic like outfit, she could hear the sound of the truckers talking to her mother.

"Come on Amu, it's time to go! You're going to love the new house!" Midori shouted, as she walked over to the car and got in. Amu followed and got in the passenger seat. She didn't look at her mother, nor did she say anything to her. Amu just stared at her home, or was it her ex-home? It felt like she was breaking up with it. She really hoped that real break ups didn't feel like this.

"What do you mean, I'll love the house? I have never even seen it." Amu stated, still looking at her ex-home.

"The job that I have accepted has given me the chance to send you to an elite school, Seiyo High! Not only that but you get to other things! Midori said to her daughter. This information didn't grasp her daughter's attention. In fact it was the last thing she wanted to talk about.

"Whatever" Amu said, as she watched her old home disappear into the distance.

Six Hours Later

Midori pulled in to a drive way. "Amu? We're here."

Amu looked up as her mom. She had been deep in thought and was just pulled out of it. Amu looked forward at the hou- it was no house. The damn thing in front of her was a mansion.

"This place is huge" Amu gawked.

"Go on in, and pick your room before I let the mover take your things in." Midori said, as they walked into the house. Amu watched as he mother slipped into one of the large bedrooms. Must be the one she's taking. Some movers passed Amu before she could get over a little of the shock, at the size of the place.

Amu headed up the golden flight of stairs, to try to figure which room she would want. Quietly, Amu walked around looking through each room, she came by, until she found a large room with a walk in closet and a balcony that over looked a park.

Amu walked on around the room. The looks alone of this place was beautiful, it was any girls dream. As she was looking around something occurred to her. She was no longer in the middle class, she was now a wealthy sixteen year old, a multi-talented girl.

"Looks like I will be going shopping tomorrow!" Amu said excitedly, as she went back down and told her mother and the movers which room she had chosen for herself.

Two men moved furniture and boxes to the room. The two movers worked quickly, placing her bed near the wall, then the rest fell in to place.

"How's it coming Amu?" Midori said, as she walked into the room. She saw the hard work by her daughter and the movers. Amu was still trying to put her cloths up in the right place as well as hanging them up.

Midori smiled and walked back out, and down the stairs to see what she needed to do, knowing that she was not going to be home at random time, not to mention the business trips she will have to take. Amu came back down stairs after an hour or two of un-packing.

"Mom do we have anything to eat its past dinner!" Amu shouted, hearing it echo off the walls of the mansion.

"Check the fridge, I just put a few items in there." Her mother replied, as Amu opened the fridge and grabbed her a snack and went back to her room to finish unpacking.

Both, Amu and Midori worked late in to the night to unpack all the boxes, around midnight Amu collapsed on to her bed and fell asleep. All Amu's things where un-packed. She left her mother to finish the kitchen and living room. Amu awoke with a startle, she looked around groggy. The clock beside her red around mid-morning.

"Shit, I was wanting to get up early and go shopping, so I would not have to deal with crowds!" Amu grumbled, and got up and headed to the shower, to get a quick shower before she headed to the mall.

"Amu? Why are you in a rush this morning?" Midori asked, seeing her daughter coming in to the kitchen in a black shirt with white letters across the front, and a pair of knee torn jeans.

"I was wanting to go to the mall, to get some new outfits." Amu said, as she grabbed a piece of toast.

"Ok, that's fine by me. Just try to be home before dinner." Midori said, as she went on reading the newspaper.

"Ok." Amu said, as she left the house with her cash, and credit card.
