When he found out they were dating, he was supposed to have been relieved. It meant she was moving on, moving on from him. If that was true then why did his heart feel like an elephant was sitting on it. He was her teacher. A teacher student relationship would only cause trouble for the both of them. He had to let her go.
He didn't know why he decided to bring sweets to them while they were working. He should let them have some time alone, and let her forget about him and move on. If that was what he should do, then why was he standing outside of the door, sweets in hand, thinking of an excuse to walk in.
Maybe, a voice inside his head whispered, you don't want them to get closer. You want her love for yourself.
No! He wanted to defend his actions. He merely helped the club make sweets and he thought they should have some for their hard work, that's all. He was happy she was moving on.
Bang!
He slid the door open with flourish, alerting the two inside to his presence.
...His eyebrow twitched slightly at their position. She seemed to be on top of him trying to punch him, while his knee was between her legs. All in all a very incriminating pose.
His eyebrow twitched slightly again. He played it off well.
"Maa, You two have such an interesting relationship. What an incriminating pose, as well."
He smiled while on the inside he wanted nothing more than to pull her away from him. He didn't know when he started to feel this way. He always found her interesting. She was the first person to say they had no interest in teachers, and then didn't ever pay attention in class. Then she didn't even recognize him during summer vacation at the beach. Then when she confessed to him, he was surprisingly happy. Of course, he couldnt let her know that, so he told her as much. She didn't give up though, like he thought. Instead rumors were spread about her, and HE came to her rescue.
She had explained to him that they were only pretending to go out, so that she wouldn't get him in trouble with the school. How adorable she was. Thinking about him instead of what the rumors might do to her. He told her that students were better off dating students, though what he really wanted to tell her was that he was relieved. That he wanted her to break up with Yuushi, even if it is just a pretend relationship. That he didn't even like the idea of her getting close to another guy.
Instead he smiles and lets her believe she is doing him a favor. He was selfish. He wanted her to keep liking him no matter what.
