The night was calm and still as the slender, hooded figure quietly slipped out of the one story house. The hooded figure cast a furtive glance over her shoulder to make sure no one was going to follow her to her destination. She made her way down the sidewalks, all the while looking back every so often to remind herself that she wasn't being shadowed by an overprotective sibling. Finally, after ten minutes of walking, she approached the alley where her crush was waiting for her. Slipping into the alley shadows, she walked up to him and pulled her hood back before their lips crashed down onto each other's. After a few minutes, Karen came up for air and looked into her crush's eyes.

"It's been hard for me to keep this from my brother, because not only is he your friend but he's also overprotective of me. But I had to come see you tonight. I don't know what he'd do if he ever found out that his sister and friend were seeing each other in secret for the last few weeks."

Stan took her hand and they left the alley where they'd agreed to meet tonight and they walked in silence for a while. Before they knew it, they'd reached the train tracks and stopped on the platform that passegeners could exit and board the train.

"I love you so much." Karen said softly as her hand gently squeezed her boyfriend's, which was still clasped in hers.

He returned her squeeze and turned his head towards hers.

"I love you too," he replied.

Their lips inched closer and closer, but just as they were about to kiss, they found themselves joined by Karen's middle and overprotective brother.

"So, after weeks of my sister lying about where she goes night after night, I find out that she sneaks away from the house to meet up with one of my friends. That ends tonight. I no longer want you to date my sister. Come on, Karen. We're going home," Kenny said as he grabbed her wrist and started dragging her away.

"No!" she cried as she yanked her wrist out of his grip.

"Did you just tell me no, little sis?"

'So what if I did? I'm sixteen, not five! The point is, I love your friend and he loves me. You can't keep me from seeing the boy I love, big brother," she said firmly.

"Like hell I can't. You're my sister, he's my friend. You can't divide your love for me and for your boyfriend equally, little sis. Are you really going to choose Stan over your own flesh and blood?"

"If that's what it comes down to, then yes, I choose him over you, big brother," she added as she ran towards him with her hands outstretched and gave him a big push.

He pinwheeled his arms, trying to keep from falling onto the tracks below him, but couldn't keep himself on the platform anymore and fell backwards onto the tracks. He managed to get to his feet and opened his mouth to continue yelling at his kid sister for her betrayal when an oncoming train smashed into him at full speed, which caused him to implode.
