Magic mirror fanfic
A child was born near the end of the second world war. Her parents were one of the few who survived from the bloody hands of the nazi. Rin Kagamine was this spectacular child's name.
The child was kept in the attic of the house. She was fed, dressed and bathe here.
Her life had been empty. Being that she was a child that was born amidst war, she had no friends, she had nothing. The only thing she could see was her face in the mirror. It had been too dark for her to recognize her parents... Her eyes was not made to adjust at such darkness, no... She was just nearly blind, her ears weak... She never get the chance to smell anything, the worst case scenario, her legs no longer work because of the bullet that was fired at her when she was just an infant.
All she ever had was this mirror. It was her light... Her everything.
She smiled adoringly at her reflection, as if seeing another.
And then another attack have disrupted their peaceful lives, taking the lives of her parents, leaving her with her old nanny that was bathing her silently on the attic. Her nanny had been mute, because of the trauma from the war.
After the bathe, she was left alone in her empty room again. She stared at the mirror, surely seeing that reflection-
A boy with the magical powers she said.
She was going crazy- yes, but this was the happiness that she wanted to have.
"will you please say my name?" she muttered, her voice deep enough to be mistaken of a man, for not speaking for such a long time.
Her tears started to pool on her eyes. She never knew why. For the first time in her life, she spoke, and thought of this as the image she see's voice, the boy with the magical powers. Her grin stretched, tears pouring.
She started hallucinating by then...
She started talking nonsense, at times chanting sort of magical incantations and she would only smile at the mirror.
She held the hem of her dress and started slowly spinning in front of the mirror, cobweb on her hair.
And then she stopped, her eyes, looking outside the window, there was a gunshot. A bullet breaking the window. Her nanny had shrieked from downstairs, telling the nazi that there was still someone inside that home.
The soldiers opened the door, pointing a gun on her head. She was one of the french, of course she was a target. "but now i can never cast my magic... And i must go..."
And it was done, the last sight she had before she died, was the shattered mirror, with her blood splattered all over it and on the floor.
"i wish you'll come back... I'll always wait for you... Len..."
and her eyes closed, a smile on her lips.
SPECIAL PART:
Her eyes re-opened, she was back in the room, but in reality, it wasn't that great... It was just as it was from her point of view.
She looked at the mirror, suddenly frowning. It was what it was in the real world... Shattered, blood and fragments of the glass on the floor.
"oh i would trade everything i have... Just to make you come back... I never knew who you are... Who i was before... Now all i ask... Is what for...?"
her knees bucked and she fell on the fragments. "i will remember you..."
"you don't have to..." a voice answered from the mirror. She looked up. "i will remember you in my dreams..."
"you're always in my heart..." the mirror turned into dust. And once, for her life, she get to touch the boy's hand.
"and we'll be together always..."
the child was not alone. She had an older brother- a twin who died in her mother's womb... And it was her brother that helped ease her death, praying, always praying that her innocent sister will come to a rest. They both smiled as their souls were lifted up to the sky above them. They were together now, together forever.
