Chapter one: firestar called the clan to a meeting with the usual "Let all cats old enough to catch their own pray gather beneath the highledge!"it was time for nightkit, Desertkit, Emberkit, and emberkits' rival wolfkit to become apprentices.
Firestar continued "ThunderClan cats! Today we have four kits becoming apprentices! First Nightkit will be known as Nightpaw! Whitewing you will mentor nightpaw. Whitewing you have been a very quick and smart warrior, I hope you pass these onto Nightpaw. Desertkit, you will now be known as Desertpaw! Sorreltail will be your mentor, Sorreltail you are a very determined and strong warrior I hope you pass these onto Desertpaw!" He paused for Desertpaw and Nightpaw to touch noses with their new mentors, he continued saying "Emberkit you will now be known as emberpaw! Brook will be your mentor, Brook you have proven yourself to our clan and now are ready to take on an apprentice you will mentor Emberpaw!
Emberpaw was hoping to get Brightheart as a mentor but she couldn't complain so she went to touch noses with brook after she did Firestar went on "and lastly Wolfkit, you will now be known as Wolfpaw. I will mentor you myself!" Gasps sounded from all the cats, they didnt expect wolfpaw to be mentored by Firestar himself.
Wolfpaw felt anger surge through her and she unsheathed her claws, and started walking up to Firestar to touch noses. When she got up to him she sheathed her claws and touched noses with him, although she didn't want to.
