Major Evan Lorne and Lt. Colonel John Sheppard did a test run on jumper 1. It had some glitches during their last mission. And McKay said he had it all fixed.
Normally Sheppard wouldn't bring his second in command on such a flight, but they had some important work related stuff to discuss. Boring you could call them. So Sheppard thought it would be a good idea to discuss the issues while flying. At least he would be enjoying some of it. He flew the jumper over to the mainland, ran some diagnostic test, pushed the engines to max and then slowed her down again.
"Nothing wrong with her now" Sheppard grinned at Major Lorne. "I love this jumper, she's my favorite.!
Suddenly the drivepods retracted and the jumper went dead. Luckily for the Colonel and the Major, the jumper was only 10 feet of the ground when she fell.
But the tumble down the hill was like a killer rollercoaster. Everything inside was rearranged like you wouldn't believe.
When Sheppard woke up he had a nasty bum on his head, it hurt in every bone in his body. He tried to get up, but there was something stopping him. He took a look down his body, there he saw a very unconscious Lorne. His head in the nap of Sheppards neck, his hand up beside his face and one of Lornes leg in between his. He was effectively pinned down by Lorne.
Lorne let out a grunt as he woke up.
He lifted his head with some effort, looked Sheppard straight in his eyes.
"You really love this jumper sir??"
Sheppard had e really wide grin.
"Yes, I really do !"
