I'm not really good in writing, so this is a test for myself. I hope people like it.

It was a dark and stormy night.
Yes, I know that's a terribly generic way to begin a story, but it's true.
Where are my manners? Please, let me introduce myself. I am The Narrator. That's also a terribly generic name, isn't it?
But that doesn't matter! Once again, I am The Narrator. I'm the guy who tells a story in a book when a character doesn't tell it. It's a very big job, but I've been doing it for a long time, so I'm used to it.
But enough about me! Let's get back to the story, shall we?
